Is Winboats Microsoft Windows based?

Yes. Not only is that where the name Winboats came from but it is one of the only Windows based systems from it's origins.

 Does Winboats require a Server?

No single locations do not require an expensive server and even Winboats Enterprise Multi-location will run on a NAS (network assisted server) which can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of a server. Winboats is a standalone native Microsoft WIN32 C++ application. As a result Winboats runs flawlessly on any Microsoft Windows WIN32 based operating system (Win95, Win98, Win2000ME, Win2000 Professional, Win XP (all versions), Win Vista (all versions) and Win 7.

How much does it cost per computer to run Winboats?

Winboats does not charge a seat or user fee. You are free to run as many users or computers within the dealership as you wish. However, you are only allowed to run a single license within one dealership in one location unless Winboats Enterprise multi-location is purchased.

Can I email a sales quote, work order or parts invoice directly from within Winboats?

Yes, Winboats integrates directly with MAPI mail programs (Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and many other email clients.

Does Winboats have an accounting package?

Winboats allows for direct exports of data to QuickBooks and in doing so a complete duplicated transaction record is created in QuickBooks.

Does Winboats offer financing?

Yes, Winboats offers all customers a interest free finance option with payments spread up to 12 months.

What is included in the purchase of a Winboats system?

You are purchasing a licensed copy of Winboats and along with this purchase we will install Winboats on your dealerships computers. Sales Modules receive one 2 hour initial training session with a 1 hour follow up session. Service and Parts Modules receive two 2 hours initial training sessions with a 1 hour follow up session. Additional training is available for $75/hour. All training is done via a webinar. On-site training is available for $500/day plus all travel expenses.

Will Winboats work away from my store?

Yes, because Winboats software is installed on each PC and laptop within the dealership and since Winboats utilizes a mirror imaging process one or more computers can be taken on a trip, home or to a boat show and all work that is done away from the store will be imported upon your return.
