What is Winboats?
Winboats is a Marine Dealership Management System (DMS) that has been designed from the beginning as a marine dealership tool to run on a Microsoft® Windows platform. Since there are many DMSs available, it is important to understand the differences between Winboats and other DMSs. First and foremost, Winboats is a sales tool that was designed with significant input from owners, managers and salespeople at marine dealerships. With their input the system has grown to handle boat quotations, contact management, lead follow up, bulk mailing (snail mail and email), major unit and parts inventory, all aspects of boat servicing, and accounting.

How do prospects view you dealership once they leave? Was their sales person professional? If the sales person quoted the prospect a boat how did they present pricing and was it at the right margin? Will the customer remember exactly what options are on the boat when comparing to different brands? What if you could send each prospect home with a picture of the boat they are interested in? With Winboats every prospect can get a detailed quote on the boat they are looking at in stock or ordered. The manager sets the margins so all sales people are quoting at the same margin so pricing is never a problem. Also, Winboats stores more information than any other DMS, Winboats allows you to pull up all previous quotes and modify pricing or options with in seconds and print or email a new quote without leaving Winboats. Why is Winboats Different?
Winboats is an affordable DMS. We offer several different systems so you can find the system that fits your needs. When designing the system we kept in mind the total cost of operating the system. With Winboats there is no need for a server even at dealerships with more than one location. We also, never limit the amount of computers that can run Winboats. Because Winboats was designed as a sales tool you can take Winboats with you to boat shows and have your full database without an internet connect. You can also take Winboats out of your dealership with a laptop and sync all changes when you return.
Winboats Service
Winboats service connects seamlessly with Winboats Sales so all the information you collected during the sales process and the boat information from a boat sale does not have to be re-entered. With Winboats you can handle over the counter parts sales and work orders. Winboats allows bar code capabilities that allow you to use the supplier’s bar code or create your own and print them out. Also, every work order has a W/O number as well as a bar code to allow service writers or technicians to quickly pull up a work order view. Winboats has many useful reports that allow you to track what warranty jobs have not been paid and to pull a report on what parts you need to order. Just like the sales quotes in Winboats Sales you can also email and print any invoice or work order right from Winboats by simply right clicking on the screen.
Winboats also allows mixed work orders. This allows a customer to bring in their boat and get warranty work as well as retail work done without the need to create two work orders. All of the jobs will get shown on the customer’s copy of the work order but only the jobs they are paying for will have pricing. This eliminated confusion with the customer so they know all the work was done and completed on their boat.
Accounting
DMS packages usually have a separate accounting package built into the software. Though this provides for tight integration with the software, most accountants and bookkeepers will not know how to use this, so the dealership has to bear the cost of training. The vast majority of dealerships prefer to use QuickBooks® software as their accounting package, so Winboats has taken an entirely different approach by integrating its accounting directly into QuickBooks® via the QuickBooks® SDK. This approach provides Winboats a direct link to the QuickBooks® company data at the dealership. After a short set up process you will be ready to transfer Winboats transactions to QuickBooks® with the click of a button. This function also works well with Winboats multi location you can transfer transactions from all of your locations from one computer.
Winboats Multi Location
Weather you run five stores with sales and service at each location or just two stores with only sales Winboats has you covered. We offer affordable software for your stores to communicate what boats are in stock and if they are available. You can also view invoices, work orders and reports all from one location. All customer files are synced between locations so you can see if a customer has been visiting more than one store and all of the comments the sales person has left. Work a home most of the week we can also set your computer up to sync without ever being brought into the store.
Software Integration with Companies in the Industry
To make running a dealership easier we have integrated with some of the biggest companies in the industry.
Boat Trader – Simply load boats into stock and add pictures and with the click of a button they can be loaded on to Boat Trader. This function also removed boats when they have been sold a removed from stock.
MercNet® – We know that keeping up to date pricing is important to help you make more money so we have integrated with MercNet® to allow you to easily and quickly update your price file as often as you would like.
Spader Files – Easily import spader flat rate files to use for service.
QuickBooks® – Accounting integration with QuickBooks® is what our dealers asked for and is a huge time saver for the book keeper at your dealership.
